Doctor Grewal to chair new Member Experience Committee
The Columbus Medical Association (CMA) recently established a new Membership Experience Committee, chaired by Dr. Kanny Grewal.
“The membership committee has the broad purpose of promoting participation in the CMA and its specific activities, including professional networking, patient advocacy, and health policy advocacy,” Dr. Grewal said.
Dr. Grewal is an experienced cardiologist at Riverside Hospital who currently serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the CMA Board of Directors. He has also volunteered at the Physicians Free Clinic for over 15 years.
“I think there is a clear need to modernize our approach to recruiting and retaining active members, and partner with the large health organizations here in town,” Dr. Grewal said.
Through active involvement with the CMA, doctors like Grewal are working to strengthen the relationships between central Ohio physicians; beyond specialty, hospital affiliation, or other barriers.
“I feel the Columbus medical Association is invaluable to my day-to-day practice. It has connected me to the broader medical community in Columbus, creates a unified voice for physicians for both patient advocacy and healthcare policy. As medical practice evolves, its role in supporting central Ohio physicians will also evolve,” Dr. Grewal said.
