The Return of the Columbus Medical Association’s Annual Celebration a Success

This past Saturday, physicians from around Columbus braved the stormy weather and packed into Huntington Park for the Columbus Medical Association’s Annual Celebration. This was the first time the CMA had been able to hold the event since 2019 due to the pandemic, so the room was buzzing with the chatter and laughter of friends and colleagues who had not seen each other in a while. The theme for the evening was ‘Around the World for a Night,” so there was fabulous food and drink from each continent. Dr. Alan Sacolick’s band, Madfunk8, provided incredible tunes, despite the weather, all night long and there was a competitive silent auction and raffle for the physicians to participate in.

The program portion of this event consisted of honoring physicians who have been in medicine for 50 years as well as an opportunity for CMA to welcome in the new president, Dr. Catherine Romanos, while thanking those who just served for the past two years, Dr. Beth Liston and Dr. Sugat Patel.

Columbus Medical Association’s Annual Celebration wouldn’t have been possible without our high-level sponsors: the Columbus Medical Association Foundation, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and Mount Carmel Health System.
