8 Questions With: Dr. Daniel Eiferman

  1. Where you were born and/raised? Louisville, KY

  2. What was your first job? Blockbuster Video (if anyone remembers what VCR and movie rental stores are)

  3. What made you decide to be a physician? When I was in medical school, I helped organize a homeless shelter medical clinic with another student.  It was all primary care of chronic conditions.  The problem with chronic problems is that they are chronic.  I learned that I liked working in the acute setting and surgery was a good fit for me.

  4. What hobbies do you participate in your free time? Sports and reading books

  5. What would you like your fellow CMA physicians to know about you? I am very passionate about helping physicians build their resiliency after bad outcomes/complications.  If anyone is struggling with their confidence, please feel free to reach out to me.

  6. In your opinion, which animal is the best (and why)? Easy. Dog. Man’s best friend

  7. What was the first concert you attended? Too embarrassed to answer this one!

  8. When you're able to travel freely again, where is the first place you’d like to go? Hawaii—had a family vacation planned to Maui and canceled due to COVID.
