8 Questions With: Dr. Anne Worth
Where you were born and/raised? I grew up in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
What was your first job? I worked as a waitress at an assisted living and nursing home facility in Dover, Ohio.
What do you like best about being in Family Medicine? It's gratifying when patients come back for a follow-up visit and tell me they're doing better; I enjoy celebrating successes with them. I also enjoy getting to know people's families over the years (I can say "years" now because I'm starting my third year as an attending).
What would you like your fellow CMA physicians to know about you? I lived in Costa Rica for 6 months and Peru for a month--these experiences definitely impacted my outlook on our interconnectedness with people around the world--we really are global citizens.
What hobbies do you participate in your free time? I play tennis and enjoy playing music with friends-- I sing and play the guitar and ukulele. Hiking in nature outside of cell service range is another simple pleasure.
In your opinion, which animal is the best (and why)? Dogs are definitely the best creatures--their love and enthusiasm make any day better!
What was the first concert you attended? My parents took me to our local orchestra concerts from the time I was quite small. As a young adult I saw Nickel Creek, which remains one of my favorite bands.
When your able to travel freely again, where is the first place you’d like to go? My travel list is long...Spain, Ireland, and Greece are a few places at the top of my list.
