Columbus Medical Association’s Collaboration with Columbus Public Health
The CMA’s collaboration with Columbus Public Health began following the H1N1 virus spread in 2009. Through this partnership Ohio physicians have already and will continue to receive up-to-date and vetted information on COVID-19. Central Ohio Trauma System (COTS) and Emergency Preparedness
Our affiliate organization COTS has been activated to work with and support 15 counties and 27 hospitals in their central region as well as 21 counties and 16 hospitals in their southeast/southeast central region. Through COTS, Central Ohio has the largest healthcare preparedness coalition in the state and they will working diligently to help prepare healthcare workers as this COVID-19 pandemic evolves. Virtual Emerging Trends Program on the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
We are working on developing a virtual emerging trends in healthcare panel on the Coronavirus. It will cover the history of viral pandemics, the pathophysiology of COVID-19, and Central Ohio preparedness. More information about this virtual event will be coming soon.
