CMAF Thanks Donors with Reception
In a cozy gathering Wednesday night, the Columbus Medical Association Foundation (CMAF) held their annual donor reception to honor and thank those that have contributed to the Foundation.
“It’s important to recognize and show support for those individuals that have supported us. This is our small way to collectively say thank you to those folks that have contributed to our effort to improve the health of the community.” Ann Eliot, Development and Program Administrator of the CMAF said.
The reception allows for donors to meet with each other and see first-hand the many ways the CMAF is promoting healthy ideas and supporting the community. Guests enjoyed tasty hors d'oeuvres while catching up and getting to know each other and their causes better.
Soon, it was time for the CMAF to highlight one of the many programs they support and tonight the focus was on the Physicians Leadership Academy (PLA). Phil Cass, Curriculum & Evaluation Director and Co-Director of the PLA, explained how the Academy has transformed the lives of many physicians with a goal to increase emotional intelligence, social intelligence, and cognitive capacity. The funding CMAF provides to the PLA covers about two-thirds of the cost of attendance and the academy would not be possible or affordable without Foundation support.
With that reminder that giving back really does make a difference, donors and staff left for the night energized and looking forward to the next healthy idea to become a healthy reality at the CMAF.
