Prior Authorization Survey: Tell Us How You Really Feel

As a result of advocacy from the physician community, the Ohio Legislature made recent changes in state law governing the prior authorization process. Over the past 2 years as full implementation of this new law was supposed to occur, there is considerable anecdotal feedback that the intent of the legislation has been circumvented by the insurance industry and that the goals of the legislation have not been realized. 

In preparation for going to the Ohio Department of Insurance and also back to the Ohio General Assembly, the Ohio State Medical Association, local medical societies like the CMA and many specialty societies have come together to do a comprehensive survey to capture a more detailed current portrait of the PA landscape.

To help address the on-going challenges around prior authorizations, it is important to have a comprehensive and accurate picture of current PA experiences. 

We are asking your help by having your office fill out this survey with what are your current experiences.  We ask your staff to complete the survey prior to November 30th.
