President's Message - February 2020

This month Dr. Jeffrey Janis focuses on another on of the CMA’s 4 pillars, care.

From the Physicians CareConnection (PCC) and their free Monday night clinic, to the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) teaching today's young adults about healthcare philanthropy, to the Physicians Leadership Academy providing a self care solution for busy doctors, there is no shortage of care at the CMA.

The PCC has come a long way since its creation in 1993. Not only do they provide a free Monday night medical and dental clinic, but they also coordinate care in a variety of categories for Central Ohio’s vulnerable population. The PCC relies heavily on physician volunteers and they can always use more.

YAC

YAC provides local middle schoolers and high schoolers a chance to learn about healthcare philanthropy and participate in making active change in their community. These students hear and make informed decisions on a variety of grants throughout the year.

YAC is open to all 8th - 12th graders and accepts new members anytime during the year. Click here to find out more.

PLA

Of the many skills and talents physicians have, the ability to provide self care is often ignored. The PLA’s curriculum is unique in that it not only provides one with the skills to be an impactful leader but also teaches that taking care of yourself should be a top priority.

Enrollment is now open for the 2020/2021 class and it can fill up quickly so sign up today!
